About Emma Sandell

I approach counselling and psychotherapy with compassion, and I value each individual’s own personal journey and story.

My approach to therapy is a holistic, one that acknowledges the links between thinking, emotion and bodily symptoms. Through therapy we can reflect on and understand what may be underlying the surface emotions and gain a deeper insight to the presenting problems.

My focus will be on your experience. An integrative approach is an individualised approach to therapy. Each one of us has a unique story to tell and therefore each person will have differing needs. As well as talking we could also use creative ways to understand and make sense of your journey in life so far, including drawing, writing or music.

I have an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy (Child and Adult) and I am an accredited member of the UK Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I am fully insured, and I have an up to date Enhanced DBS. I am trained to work with children and adolescents, as well as adults, and I believe in and adhere to strict ethical guidelines. I currently work as a school counsellor and as a counsellor at a College/University.
