About Emma Sandell

Seeking therapy is an act of courage and self-love
About Emma Sandell
My Approach
I approach counselling and psychotherapy with compassion and deep respect for each person’s individual story. I recognise that everyone’s experiences are unique, and I honour the courage it takes to seek support.
My work is holistic, acknowledging the close connection between thoughts, emotions, and physical symptoms. Together, we can gently explore what may lie beneath surface feelings, helping you gain greater understanding and insight into the difficulties you are facing.
I use an integrative approach, which means therapy is tailored to you. There is no “one-size-fits-all.” Your experiences, needs, and goals guide our work. Alongside talking, we may draw on creative methods — such as drawing, writing, or music — to help you explore and make sense of your journey in ways that feel natural and supportive.
Qualifications & Professional Membership
I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy (Child and Adult) and am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I am fully insured and hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate. I adhere to strict ethical guidelines in all areas of my work.
Experience
I am trained to work with children, adolescents, and adults. Before private practice, I worked as a school counsellor and as a counsellor within a college/university setting. I have over eight years’ experience in private practice, supporting clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
